Mrs. Mary Lucy SUTTON, widow of Shelby Sutton, died in Indianapolis on Tuesday and funeral services were held at the home yesterday in charge of Rev. Jean S. Milner of the Second Presbyterian Church. The Suttons formerly lived in Waveland in the house now owned by Charles F. Moore. Source: Waveland Independent newspaper, Waveland, Montgomery County, Indiana June 8, 1934 Mrs. Mary L. SUTTON, formerly of Waveland, died May 22 at her home in Indianapolis following an illness of one year. Her husband, Shelby Sutton, died in 1919. Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. William Scott, Lebanon; Mrs. Dale Foster, Chicago; Miss Mabel Sutton, Mrs. Gordon Briggs and Mrs. CA Weller of Indianapolis; a son, Earl Sutton of Indianapolis, a sister, Mrs. Julia Ong of Sebastopol, California; 8 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The following additional information is from the Indianapolis News. She was born in and reared in Fairfield, Indiana and has lived near Waveland in Parke county for several years. She had lived in Indianapolis since 1914. She was a member of the Tri Psi Sorority and 2nd Presbyterian Church. -- kbz
